EDM Wire Cutting Services

Infinity EDM is a Wire EDM job shop with nineteen Mitsubishi wire EDM machines,  one Fanuc 0iAS/AWF and four EDM small hole drillers that specialize in small and large Wire EDM projects. Our projects include injection molding and stamping die components along with piece part projects for customers that require tight tolerances and small production runs.

Our Project Managers and Technicians are an experienced group of toolmakers, engineers, and machinists that understand the expense that is involved in each piece of steel that comes into our facility. These employees take great pride in quality, expedient delivery, and the ability to wire the job based on the tolerances provided.  Our project managers will ask the appropriate questions as to ensure the proper efficiency and cost-effectiveness on each project.

Infinity has the rare ability to wire multiple large pieces at the same time due to having six large wire EDM machines. This includes our four FA30Vs, our FA50V which boasts the largest travels and tank size in the U.S, and an MV4800 which has a Z cutting height of 32”.

Having large block capacity doesn’t mean we are lacking on the other end of the spectrum. Our smallest Wire EDM is capable of cutting with .002 diameter wire.

When it comes to the fitting of components Infinity is second to none. We will inquire what the customers’ needs are for proper fit and will follow through to the end of the project to ensure precise fitting of all components from ejector pins to dowels, lifters,inserts,dovetails, and tapered shutoffs etc.

We also have the ability to accommodate large taper cutting applications. All large wire EDM machines do have a maximum allowable taper angle under normal cutting conditions depending on angle and height of cut. Due to our large submersible wire EDM machines we have the height up to 32” and tank size needed that allows us to setup large blocks at angles to achieve the angles necessary for completion of your project.
