JACKSON, WI (November 2025) — Kyle Crum, President of Infinity EDM, LLC (Infinity), participated as a featured panelist at Foley & Lardner LLP's "Digital Disruption: AI-Driven. Cyber-Secure. Business-Ready." Brainwaves event held November 5, 2025, in Milwaukee.
Crum joined Devesh Ranjan, Grainger Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Chris Van Dyke, Co-Founder and CEO of Overview AI, for a panel discussion on AI applications in manufacturing. The session was moderated by Natasha Allen, Partner and Co-Chair of Artificial Intelligence at Foley & Lardner LLP.
The event brought together senior business and legal leaders to examine how emerging technologies are reshaping manufacturing operations. Crum's contributions focused on three themes drawn from his experience operating a precision manufacturing facility: the importance of safety protocols when deploying probabilistic AI systems in industrial environments, the need to prioritize workforce development and human capability alongside technological adoption, and maintaining focus on business outcomes rather than technology for its own sake.
"AI is a tool in the quiver—it might not be the right tool for every problem," said Crum. "I want to understand what problem I'm trying to solve very, very clearly before reaching for any particular solution."
