JACKSON, WI — Infinity, a precision manufacturing services provider specializing in Wire EDM and CNC machining, recently hosted the Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, augmented by other organizations, for a comprehensive energy assessment of its Jackson, Wisconsin facility.
The ITAC program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, provides no-cost energy, productivity, and waste assessments to small and medium-sized U.S. manufacturers. The program pairs expert faculty with engineering students who gain hands-on experience evaluating real-world manufacturing operations.
During the on-site visit, the ITAC team analyzed Infinity EDM's facility operations, equipment, and energy usage to identify opportunities for improved efficiency. The company will receive a detailed report with specific recommendations for reducing energy consumption and operating costs.

Per its website, the UW-Milwaukee ITAC has conducted more than 240 assessments since its founding in 2012, with recommended savings totaling nearly $20 million for participating manufacturers.
